I'm very much liking how this episode played out it really shows the difference between the harvesters of souls power compared to our current XY witch was night and day before at the Misty cloud sect XY is definitely shrinking that difference his just not there yet just the cast time needed for abilities is something i really would like to see a bit more training and him catching up soon so we can start that SH raid to save the master part but i can see XY simply isn't ready to go there yet

Not really even XY wasnt sure at all that his seal will have any effect on this SH member + i think the difference in power is perfectly displayed just by the amount of effor XY needed to cast that while the other guy needed so little cast time to do the same lvl of ability that both use a ton of energy my man XY isn't weak by any means but SH is just on a whole different lvl that XY is only at the door at while they are fully trained if that makes sense just from what im seeing in the anime all the power lvl statistics aside
All of that being said its understandable to feel like XY should be a lot more powerful right now in the story especially when were preparing to more or less Raid SH headquarters to save the Masters soul so yea if XY has any chance of succeeding he should logically be just as powerful as the masters of that place but we'll see how it plays out im guessing XY will need a bit more training before going there and starting that ark

To be fare XY was pretty tired as well from his prevous fight with that sect master dude and he used up all he had left just to cast it once to try to kill that harvester dude. His palm ability should get even stronger and stronger with less cast time once XY further trains in mastering it I'm guessing hes still at its lvl 1 in game terms if that makes sense he simply needs to train that ability a lot more to make it stronger and more faster usable not to mention faster moving if that guy was at his full fresh self he could have simply out run it. While XYs power is growing lets not forget he did unlock this palm ability pretty recently so its fair to assume he dont have mastery over it just yet. I can easily compare it to the big double medium sword from the OG Shaman King(F that garbage remake) yes its impressive but it has a ton of room for improvement. At the end of the day even after all that casting XY simply didn't had enough spiritual power or what ever its called in this donghua to beat the other guys ability so both abilities ended up at equal power scale thus canceling each other out. He has a long way to go ^_^ but we can see him catching up non the less.
i really enjoy seeing this kind of more balanced approach to power scaling in Shonen type of Anime/Donguas with out making the MC too weak or too strong early on and simply have no room to improve him so the whole series gets mid people are forgetting we have a ton more episodes and arks to go until the end so they cant really scale XY too fast it wont be easy to balance the rest of the enemies around that if hes too powerful too early.
